Referral Programme Terms
If you recommend Arvis Loft to another breeder and they become a paying customer, you receive a share of the amount collected. This document explains exactly how it works, what you get, when you get it, and what obligations arise, including tax obligations.
These rules supplement the Terms and Conditions. Taking part in the programme is optional.
1. Who can take part
You can take part if you have an active Arvis Loft account, are at least 18 years old, and comply with the Terms. You do not need a paid subscription in order to refer: a Free account can accumulate credits too.
The programme is aimed at breeders recommending the app to people they know. It is not a commercial affiliate programme: you may not use it as a large-scale marketing activity without a separate agreement with us.
2. How a referral is attributed
You get a personal code and an invitation link, in Settings → Refer.
A referral is attributed to you if the invited person:
- opens your link and creates an account within 30 days of that visit; or
- types your code into the sign-up form.
The first-touch rule applies: if a person first arrived through someone else's link, the referral belongs to that person, even if they later opened your link too. Attribution happens once, at account creation, and cannot be transferred afterwards.
No referral is attributed if the person already had an Arvis Loft account.
3. What you get and when
When the person you referred makes their first payment to us, we receive confirmation from the payment processor and automatically credit your account with a reward calculated as a percentage of the full price of the plan they chose, before the welcome discount described in section 3.1.
| Situation | Rate |
|---|---|
| Standard rate | 10% of the first payment |
| Founding member (if you are a founding member) | 15% of the first payment |
A few points that matter:
- The reward is granted once per referred person, on their first payment. It is not recurring income from their later renewals.
- The applicable rate is the one in force at the time of the referral, that is when your invitation is recorded in the system. If we change the rates later, the change applies only to future referrals: those already recorded keep the rate promised at the time, even if the referred person pays only months later. Your current rate is shown in Settings → Refer.
- Credits are expressed in euro, the currency we charge in.
- A referred account that stays on the Free plan generates no reward, because there is no payment.
3.1 The discount the person you refer receives
Someone who creates an account through your link or code gets 10% off their first subscription payment. The discount applies automatically, once, to the first invoice; later renewals are charged at full price.
Their discount does not reduce your reward. Your rate is calculated on the full price of the plan, not on the discounted amount we actually collect. We absorb the difference.
The discount cannot be combined with other discounts or promotional codes on the same invoice, and is not granted to someone who has already had a paid Arvis Loft subscription.
4. When a reward is not granted, or is reversed
We do not grant a reward and, if it has already been credited, we may reverse it, in the following cases:
- self-referral: accounts created by you, for you, or for the same household or the same loft, directly or through intermediaries;
- the referred person exercises their right of withdrawal, receives a refund, or disputes the payment with their bank (chargeback);
- the payment turned out to be fraudulent, or the referred account was closed for breaching the Terms;
- the referral was obtained through one of the practices prohibited in section 5.
If a reversal takes the balance below zero, the difference is deducted from future credits. We never ask you to send money back.
5. Prohibited practices
We ask you not to:
- send unsolicited bulk messages (spam), by e-mail, SMS, WhatsApp or in groups, in order to spread your code;
- create fake, multiple or automated accounts;
- bid on keywords containing "Arvis", "Arvis Loft" or close variations, in paid advertising;
- post the code on coupon, cashback or discount aggregator sites;
- present yourself as an employee, representative or official partner of Arvis Loft, or make claims about the product that we have not made;
- use our brand or logo other than to honestly identify the product you are recommending.
Breaching these rules leads to cancellation of the credits obtained that way and may lead to exclusion from the programme.
6. How to withdraw your money
Accumulated credits can be claimed as a cash payout, in Settings → Refer.
- You need a complete profile: name, address, city, postcode and IBAN. Without them we cannot make the transfer.
- When you submit a request, the requested amount is reserved from your balance, so it cannot be spent twice.
- The payment is processed manually, by bank transfer. We aim to execute it within 30 days of the request.
- If we reject a request, we tell you why, and the reserved amount returns to your balance in full.
- We charge no fee for the payout. Any charges from your own bank, or exchange-rate differences if you receive lei, are outside our control.
We currently impose no minimum withdrawal threshold. If we introduce one, we announce it in advance, in accordance with section 9.
7. Taxes and declarations
This is the most important point in this document, so we write it plainly.
The amounts shown in your account are gross. If the law requires us, as the payer, to withhold tax or other amounts from the payment we make to you, we withhold them and remit them to the authorities, and you receive the difference. In that case we tell you the gross amount, the amount withheld and the net amount transferred.
What this means for you in practice. Amounts received from this programme are, as a rule, taxable income. Depending on your situation (private individual, sole trader, employee, pensioner, or a person paying contributions in another capacity), further declaration or payment obligations may arise in your own name, which we cannot fulfil for you. We recommend asking an accountant if you are in any doubt.
If you are a company or sole trader and wish to invoice these amounts to us, write to office@arvis.ro so we can agree the procedure.
We are not your tax advisers, and this paragraph is not tax advice.
8. What happens to credits when the account closes
- If you close your account, you can request payout of your credits before closing. Deleting the account means unclaimed credits are lost, because the record of them goes with the account. We remind you of this on the deletion screen.
- If we close the account for breaching the Terms, unpaid credits are cancelled, unless you challenge the measure and your challenge succeeds.
- If we discontinue the service (section 16 of the Terms), you can request payout of your credits throughout the 90-day notice period.
Credits do not expire while your account is active.
9. Changing and ending the programme
We may change the rates, the rules or the payout conditions, and we may close the programme. In all cases:
- we notify you by e-mail and in the app at least 30 days in advance;
- the change takes effect for the future only: referrals already converted and credits already accumulated stay at the rate applicable when they were credited;
- if we close the programme, you can request payout of accumulated credits for at least 90 days from the announcement.
10. Suspension from the programme
We may suspend your participation, temporarily or permanently, if we have reasonable indications of fraud or of a breach of sections 4 or 5. We tell you the reason and you can challenge it at office@arvis.ro; the challenge is assessed by a person. If the measure was wrong, we lift it and restore the credits.
Suspension from the programme does not affect your account, subscription or data.
11. Data processing
For the programme we process your code, the referrals attributed, your balance, and, when you request a payout, your name, address and IBAN. Details, legal bases and retention periods are in the Privacy Policy. Payment records are kept for 10 years, as part of our accounting records.
12. Governing law and disputes
Romanian law applies, and the resolution routes are those in section 25 of the Terms, including ANPC and the SAL platform.
